Job Title:
Software design engineer (Signal Processing)

Position: 
The software design engineer (Signal Processing) designs and implements signal processing algorithms for the global positioning system receivers. The person would be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Primary Tasks
    • Take part in the complete development process incl. design, implementation & verification.
    • Create technical documentation for developed functional block or features.
    • Implement new features according to a requirement specification and project plan.
    • Assist in definition and verification phase of new hardware blocks.
    • Analyze feedback or nonconformities, provide workarounds or develop bug fixes.
  • Secondary Tasks
    • o Reporting to line manager and sub-project manager on activities
    • o Assist other team members on the job.
Responsibility: Responsible for sub-projects and tasks assigned

Profile:
  • MS or BS in electrical engineering or computer science.
  • Experience in
    • Signal processing
    • Embedded software development
    • C, C++
    • Subversion or other version control software
    • Eclipse, MS Visual Studio or similar development environment
  • Knowledge in the following areas is a plus.
    • Global Positioning Systems
    • Communications
    • ARM CPUs (ARM7TDMI, CortexM3)
    • Perl, Assembler
    • MATLAB or other simulation software
  • Ability to work as a member of bigger projects. Flexible team player.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good English communication skills, oral and in writing
  • Swiss national or EU national with international experience back-ground
